The FoodLab is based on a new user-focus design that put its focus on different age users and how they can all benefits from the different services offered by the space. The space could help lots of people and change their habits bringing them onto the right track to a healthy and long life. The space is offering different services, from cooking classes, to lectures on food to restaurant. In order to design the space I started by highlighting the shape of food with printing. I then analysed it and translated into 3D.
In this project my idea was to change the basic behaviour on sharing and to make people more aware of how important and helpful this is; to make people more aware of the power a crowd has and I wanted to achieve this through a sharing skills workshop-tree pop-up space. I wanted to create a space which will increase the desire of sharing and where people, thanks to team building and skills sharing, can realise big project and turn big dreams into reality. The space itself represents the natural growing of an idea, a seed growing into a tree. The idea will be elaborated by different users and therefore different way of thinking which will add value to the idea. Consequently, the idea will become better and grow, like a tree in the world.
As one of the biggest project in my second year we had to design the reception area for an hotel. I thought I could do much more with the space. The location (Coventry) it’s a very central location in the UK therefore I decided to create a meeting space where creative people could meet and hold workshops-talks or simply feel free the exchange their world changing ideas. The space is featuring a small salad bar with some sitting and a library-table. The hotel receptions is also featuring some papers-wall where people could show their creativity – “keep sketching and stay creative”.
